Describe Your Personality
Truth is I'm not much of a country girl lately. The skills I have at my disposal are only needed in the city, so I make my living high in a tower of steel and glass. I have come to love the sound of my heels on a marble floor. I have good friends who know me inside and out and love me to death. I have a large close knit family that loves me unconditionally. And I have my kids who, even at their worst are still the best of me. If I come to the end of my road alone, I'll have kept good company. I'm sassy with a mind of my own. I rarely take direction. I do things my way first, even if it's not the easiest way. I love with my whole heart because I don't do things in half measures. I'm a Christian woman. I'm strong enough to fight for what I believe in. I'm easy going. I have a dry sense of humor. I don't settle, and I don't want you to either. We each deserve the best life has to offer and I hope that you find whatever that is for you.
Your Dislikes
Liars. How about I promise never to ask a question I don't really want an honest answer to (do these jeans make my butt look fat) and you promise not to lie to me. I'm a big girl, I can take the truth. Guys who decide they aren't interested any longer and just disappear without saying goodbye. Again, I'm a big girl, I can take it.
Your Hobbies/Interests
Hobbies... I believe that is what one does in their free time. That kind of thing is hard to come by most days, but when I find some I spend it with my family. I lived away from them for many years, only able to visit holidays. We just had a barn party last month. Good food cooked by women who know how. The best country Nashville will never hear. And great company. I believe there is a kind of magic in poking a seed into the ground and watching what God will make of it. I do this often. I write songs. I love to cook and learned from the best. I read when I can sit still long enough. I have a list of things I want to do before I'm too old(I.e. Play fiddle, bow hunt, build something with my hands, grow a garden to feed a stranger ect...)
What are You Looking for?
I'm surrounded by men every day. Which probably makes you wonder why I'm here. The men I grew up around did not wear shiny shoes or climb corporate ladders(not that there is anything wrong with that). They wore mud on their boots and earned their pay by the sweat they emitted. For better or worse these are qualities I look for in a man. I want a man whose boots are broken in. A man who knows what hard work means, who shoots straight with people and would give someone the shirt off his back. I'm looking for honesty, kindness, hope, affection, loyalty, dependability and a soft place to land. A man I'd be proud to introduce to my Daddy if the opportunity arose, or just be proud to call mine if not.
Your Goals
My goals in life are simple. College educations for the kids and a shoe allowance. And savings enough to retire and become an organic farmer. Yup, you heard me right, an organic farmer with a shoe fetish.
